"The Hybrid+ has a little more buoyancy, a touch less rocker and a slightly wider nose compared to the standard Volume Hybrid. All elements targeted at surfers making the transition from intermediate + into the experienced skill category.

In particular, this model is suited to older surfers who are finding it increasing difficult to catch waves on more high performance models. I’ve designed this model to assist paddle power and wave count, decrease the effort needed to perform turns, yet still maintain that sensation of riding a smaller ‘responsive’ board.

For a board of this size, it’s surprising just how easy it catches waves, and once you’re up and riding, the back half of the board is designed to feel and perform like a finely tuned shortboard. The noticeable feature in the outline being a subtle flyer positioned behind the side fins, which adds bite and control in bigger surf.

The versatility of the Hybrid+ can’t be understated. This is a board that’ll feel fast, loose and responsive in small mushy beach breaks through to open face point waves.
