What is a mid length surfboard good for?

Mid lengths are used for a variety of purposes. If you are looking at progressing to a smaller board from a longboard or mini mal but aren't quite ready for a shortboard. Middies are a great option as they're a good in between board. The mid length will retain the buoyancy for easy paddling but allow more movement more like a shorter board.

How do I choose a mid length surfboard?

Are middies good for small waves?

Yes! Mid lengths are a great option for when the waves are smaller and give the surfer that extra fun in the water. With the smaller mids you can add a tail pad as well for that extra grip.

Good question! There are just too many to reel off but we recommend around the 7ft surfboard size if this is the option that suits your needs. You might be an older surfer looking for more volume and the midlength just ticks the boxes.
