Key advantages of foam surfboards are not only the enhanced stability, the soft, buoyant nature of the board allows riders also to easily paddle and maintain balance which increases their chances of catching waves and staying on their feet. Since foam surfboards are also more forgiving than longboards or mini mals, they reduce the risk of injuries and also make them safer for those learning the sport. So get into your wetsuit and try out our Foamie Softboards.

Should I surf on a foam board or hard board?
It depends on your level of surfing. Foamies typically have a wider and more generous outline compared to traditional hard boards, providing additional stability and making it easier to generate speed. As a beginner it’s easier to start with a softboard and change it into a hard board when you have more stability.
Do you need to wax a foam board?
Generally you do not need to wax a foam board but we do suggest to wax softboards to gain extra grip. Foam surfboards, also known as foamies or soft-top surfboards, typically come with a soft, textured deck that are designed to have wax. Another pro of waxing your foam board is to avoid getting a rub rash on the board to be more protected and gain extra traction.
How long does foam board last?
Foam surfboards are specifically designed to provide a stable and forgiving platform for riders learning to catch and ride waves. If you take care of your foam board they will last for several years. Keep in mind to store them in a dry environment and don’t let them out too long in the sun, since that can damage the board.
